Gwilym N. H. Roddick, LCSW, is a Psychotherapist and Addiction Specialist who helps adults, adolescents, and families persevere through life’s challenges. His genuineness, exceptional listening skills, and compassion for his client's suffering have lead him to create a very straightforward approach to the process of psychotherapy, with empathy and helpful honesty. He uses the conceptual frameworks, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which help people to understand their problems, while teaching them many helpful skills to change them. He is unique in that he uses Evidence-based interventions to address co-occurring issues concurrently, not separately. Due to his extensive training, research, and experience, he is uniquely qualified to assess how primary issues (e.g. anxiety, PTSD) interfere with substance abuse and addiction treatment.
